Susan Meadows

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Susan Meadows, a cherished wife, sister, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, shortly before her 72nd birthday. Born on March 13th, 1954, in Virginia, Susan lived a life full of love, dedication, and kindness.

Susan is lovingly survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Steve Meadows, and her brother, John Geyer. Her gentle spirit and caring nature will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Susan's dedicated caretaker, Christine Jackson, for her exemplary care and support.

Preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Russell Geyer and Mickey Dawson Geyer, Susan was the embodiment of compassion and dedication. She graduated from Chatham High School in 1972 and went on to earn her Bachelor's degree from Averett College in 1978, marking the start of a fulfilling career.

Susan thrived as a supervisor at Negril, where she passionately contributed to the care and support of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Her commitment and enthusiasm left a lasting mark on the lives she touched.

After retirement, Susan and Steve moved from Blairs to their beloved lakeside residence in Clarksville, VA, finding joy within their vibrant Merrifield community, affectionately known as the Darcy Gang. Susan adored her dogs, Tater, Rufus, and Tess, who were her faithful companions.

In line with Susan's wishes, there will be no formal services. Arrangements have been respectfully managed by the Cremation Society of Virginia.
