Polly Kirtland Maloney

Polly Potter Kirtland Maloney, age 91, of Macon, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 14th, 2024. She was born on Wednesday, November 30th, 1932 to the late Louis Augustus Kirtland and Florence Alice Kirtland. Polly was preceded in death by her spouse, John Maloney as well as her daughter, Barbara Kay Whyte and granddaughter, Kelly Lynn Whyte.

Polly was a dedicated social worker who spent her life helping others. She was known for her kindness and generosity towards both people and animals. Polly was an avid painter and loved supporting her local animal shelter.

Polly is survived by her granddaughter, Kim Whyte Ellison, grandson, James Ellison (Bridget), great grandchildren Kayla Griffin (John) and James Michael Ellison, as well as her great-great grandson, Jensen Griffin.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Warren County Animal Shelter in Polly's memory.

Arrangements are being handled by the Cremation Society of Virginia. Polly will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
