John Milner (85) left us on December 5,2025. He left one true love of his life, our Mom, Arlene, his sons Don and Ken, their wives Marcy and Debra, his grandson Patrick, and joins his grandson Travis who preceded him. He also leaves us with countless stories—some true, some
“true enough”—that will live on in laughter and memory.
If you ever hear someone say, “Do you remember when John…”—brace yourself. That story might end with a laugh, a shake of the head, or even a “Did he really do that?” Spoiler alert: yes, he probably did or at least would swear that he did.
You always knew where you stood with my father. He could make you laugh with a bold act, cry with a quiet kind act, and yes—sometimes even frustrate you. He was a man of contradictions, and I think he wore that proudly. Passionate barely begins to describe him. Faith was his
foundation.
As we say goodbye, we hold onto this: Dad lived big, loved deeply, and believed fiercely. If we carry even a fraction of that forward—his humor, his heart, his faith—then his story isn’t over. It’s just being told through us.
